Full Description

Overwound for more low end response, the Duke P delivers more punch and thickness to your Precision Bass. Scatterwound coils on fully charged Alnico 5 polepieces allow for an increased output - making the Duke the perfect "Vintage Modern" set.

Wax potted to eliminate microphonic feedback. The two coils are RWRP for noise cancelling operation - just like the originals.

The Duke P is available with flat or staggered polepieces. Staggered polepieces work especially well with basses with more rounded fingerboards, such as the 7 1/4" radius boards found on vintage models and reissues.

Cool!

Replaced my mex 2004 p bass pickups with these.

Slightly lower output.... really not a bad thing

But a really great improvement in tone, they're warm, full but somehow still clear and articulate. They shine when the volume goes up.

Tone knob somewhat more usable too.

Well done. I'll get some for the jazz bass in the next month or two.

Great Tone for a Great Price

I'm a luthier and I see and hear lots of pickups. These Tonerider worth more than they costs!

happy customer

I put this PU in an 90ies Aria Pro II (Corea) PJ Bass with Mahogony body and Maple/Rosewood neck. The PU is placed a bit more to the brigde compared to a classic P Bass, so I figured that a bit more bass would be good. The result makes me very happy. In fact I was until now always more Team bridge PU, now I enjoy playing the neck PU soloed more than ever before. Great sounding PU that offers a lot of tonal options including a full sounding classic P Bass.

I combined it with a DiMarzio Model J from the 80ies I already had. The Duke teams up very nicely with it.

I can honestly recommend this PU.

By the way: I purchased it via this Website, shipping to Germany took less than a week and was all in all flawless. I like that I can purchase the products directly from Tonerider, no middle man. Won't be my last purchase I guess... :)

Nice and punchy

Fitted my second set of these "The Duke" P Bass Pickups. Nice and punchy without being to aggressive. Already gigged with my first set which replaced stock Fender pickups and what a difference. I've swapped out a pair of Quarter Pounders with my second set as I reckon for the overall cost these are just as Good in performance. Spot on. Definitely recommend.

Nailed it.

I was a big fan of the original P Bass Plus pickup and this just takes it up a notch. A nice, solid growl but without losing the vintage thump when you roll the tone off. It does it all without the OTT output of something like a Quarter Pounder. Thanks Tonerider.
