Full Description

The Pure Vintage set from Tonerider is the perfect upgrade for any player looking for that warm, vintage Stratocaster sound.

Never harsh, full of chime and equally at home with clean or dirty amps, this is the set that defined the Tonerider approach to pickup making more than 20 years ago. Wound with heavy AWG42 wire and scatterwound to mimic the "Holy Grail" of single coil guitar tones - the late 50s strat.

The Pure Vintage set uses rod magnets with our "Modified Vintage Stagger" allowing for great string to string balance on a wide range of instruments.

Each pickup is fully wax potted to reduce any microphonic feedback, and comes supplied with screws, latex height adjustment tubing and an installation guide.

Purchased the neck and middle pickups for a left handed HSS Strat configuration (The Bridge is a Tonerider Generator).

It's like a blanket has been lifted off the tone of the guitar. The clarity of the clean tones is superb and the response when you dig in breaks up nicely. Even with a drive pedal you can hear every note.

These are the first Toneriders I've wired up and I couldn't be happier.

Another great sounding Tonerider pickup!

I have tried quite a few Tonerider products and have been very impressed with all of them. These pickups sound great, but I don’t think the guitar I put them in is sufficiently shielded, so there was a little more noise than I like, so I ended up using some noiseless pickups from another brand for now, but I think these sound better.
