The Alnico 2 Classic is a superb humbucker set for guitars that need more warmth, fullness and sustain.
At higher gain settings, the Alnico II Classic really nails the fluid distortion sound of players like Slash, who use the smooth attack and longer sustain of the neck to great effect during solos, and the tighter, fizzier tones available from the bridge for rock rhythm work.
All AC2 pickups are fully wax potted to avoid microphonic feedback, and come supplied with #3/48 screws, springs and an installation guide.
Available individually or as a set. Four conductor wiring as standard on all models.

At long last, I can stop researching pickups. This is the one I’ll continue getting! Holy grail midrange, supplemented with a KILLER low end that sets it apart from every other PAF copy of all prices from all brands. It’s not like high output pickup low end, which ends up stuffy and untamable. It’s a free, RESPONSIVE, uncompressed low end that is perfectly balanced with the gorgeous mids which do in fact still lead the show. It instantly made my right hand technique better playing this pickup. I use complex/atypical chords extensively under significant gain and effects, and for the first time all of my notes are ringing out loud and clear in every section. Also, I finally have a genuinely pleasing sounding clean sound when using the bridge pickup.
I can’t recommend it enough, even over all direct competitors from Duncan, Dimarzio, and the more boutique ones. It doesn’t have to be expensive and fancy guys, go with Tonerider and beat the game.
These pickups are excellent. I used them to replace a set of epiphone alnico clasics on an epiphone ES335 pro.
I was not expecting a great difference as the alnico clasics are fairly well respected.

I bought a set of Alnico 2 Classics to go in my PRS SE Standard 24… I wanted a more vintage tone, but the same excellent quality.
I’ve just had them installed and played in a jam session with my mates. Oh Wow, are these good! They are sensitive, responsive, smooth, yet articulate. They sustain for ages. From gentle Snowy White tones to full on Joe Bonamassa bombast, these beauties handle it superbly. I love them!
The price is astonishing . The quality is absolutely top notch. The sound has enhanced my love of this PRS. If you want your sound improved, Tonerider is the place to go.
Their customer service is amazing! I ordered on line after a phone call (helpful advice and a clear willingness to support), but as I am local I arranged to drop in and pick them up.
